Style On-The-Go: White Sneakers

I've always been a sandals-in-summer kind of girl but this year I'm really into sneakers, how about y'all? I love a good tenny pump with a pop of color some days, while on others I like to keep it simple with a classic white sneaker. And you can't get more classic than Converse All Stars right?!? Plus I snagged these at DSW and saved a little money on them :)

These days I'm all about things that are cute and wearable. Meaning, I want to look put together and "current" but my clothes and shoes also have to be comfortable and easy to move in. It's the #momstyle way of life.

So when Sophie from A Hopeful Sunflower asked me to collaborate on a couple blog posts sharing how we each like to style summer wardrobe staples, I knew immediately I wanted to talk about how much I believe in the power of white sneakers worn with summer dresses!

(⬆️ That's a lot of leg and a lot of hair.)

I think a simple white tennis shoe with a summer dress is just the cutest! Feminine dresses, boho dresses, beachy dresses....all of them! For one thing, shorts can kinda be the worst and some days you just need to throw something on that you don't have to overthink or worry about looking dumpy in after the heat of the day sets in. Dresses are just so easy.

With Harlow walking so much that she's burning holes in the pavement, I am on the move every minute! Like I have to run after her multiple times a day because girl's got a motor. It's nice not worrying about slipping out of my sandal and face planting when I'm sprinting after my child.

Of course I wear sandals alllll the time, but I really enjoy mixing up the look of my summer dresses and feeling extra secure in my shoes. Because mom life be like....

Whoa crazy crazy! In all the best ways :D

Thanks for stopping by today -- and thanks to Sophie for the great idea! We styled another classic wardrobe piece -- the white tee shirt! -- during this shoot and I'll be sharing those photos with you next week!

Have a beautiful day!

xx Brooke
