3 Ways to Style Joggers

JOGGERS // JACKET // BAND T-SHIRT (vintage, lots of similar tees HERE) // SNEAKERS

Another day, another opportunity to preach my love for joggers. Here's the thing: I love them for their comfort, of course. But it's more than that. I'm in like Flynn on joggers because they're the closest thing to pajamas that you can wear outside of your house without getting side eye. They're actually trendy and considered stylish!!! This is our collective chance to wear house clothes out in public and call it fashion. Don't let it pass you by.

Throwing on a sweatshirt with your joggers is a no-brainer. But you can do so much more than that. So. Much. More. Almost every day I see someone else pushing the envelope just a titch farther with how they're wearing their joggers. And I'm all for it. Gimme all the options. That's what we're talking about today: three ways you can style your joggers like a fashion blogger. AKA how to be a jogger blogger.

1 | Business On The Top, Party On The Bottom

If somebody saw you from the waist up, they'd think you were on your way to the office. Or maybe a fireside oyster roast, depending on your blouse and topper of choice. The point is, this look balances the casual comfiness of your joggers with more tailored pieces up top. Take your button-down and tie it into a knot. Grab that roomy blouse and French tuck it. Layer up with a soft cardigan and boom you're in business on the top, but throwing a pajama party on the bottom.

Here's how I wore this look:

2 | Monochromatic

This option boils down to one simple premise: wear the same color head to toe. Don't worry about every single piece matching perfectly. A little variation in your shades and tones is A-OK. Go with a sweater, a t-shirt, or a cami-cardigan combo. Just keep it in the same color spectrum and you're good to go.

3 | Band Babe

Time to break out that vintage concert tee! Or go buy a new one that looks like an old one. Band tees are MAJOR right now, getting paired with everything from blazers and Chanel-style jackets to joggers and jeans and everything in between. Pink Floyd, Journey, and Def Leppard are all the rage right now, but you should choose the band that makes your toes tap. Layer a moto style jacket on top to finish the look. I love these jackets by BlankNYC because they're soft, can be worn open with the wide lapels or zipped up, and they come in every color under the sun. Translation: there's one for you that goes with most of what you have in your closet.
