Midweek Musings
Good morning! I feel unable to proceed with this post until I take a moment to marvel over the fact that it's already mid June. Sometimes taking care of a tiny human makes the days feel about 1000 hours long, but somehow the calendar pages are blowing by.
Not to be outdone by Father Time, Mother Heat Wave is sending our thermometers into a tail spin. One day you're so excited because the pool's open and you've got that new Instagrammable float. Then the next you're all F that S, if there's no A/C I'm not going.
Anyways, a few fun things piquing my interest this week...
I'm kinda grieving over the fact that I'll never get to see 'Hamilton' with Lin Manuel Miranda in the title role. He's single-handedly made theater cool, and by that I mean more people are engaged in the medium than before. I DVR'ed the Tony's just so I could see LMM and the cast perform and loved it SO much! They performed the number without their muskets to show sensitivity and solidarity to the Orlando victims. And just when you think you already admire someone...#loveisloveisloveisloveislove
Bloomie's is having a Hamilton pop-up shop in case you're on the search for some merch.
The New York Times featured a study performed by researchers at my alma mater equating bigger bottles with fatter babies, putting these formula-fed infants at higher risk of obesity later in life. This is NOT a shot over the bow in the breast vs. bottle debate, merely an interesting read for new and expectant moms.
Amazon cart status: full of dry shampoos that all cost under $10. Love Oribe, can't afford it on the regs. Stay tuned for a post comparing the results of each one.
Drinks just taste better from festive stemware, don't they? These acrylic glasses and matching pitcher in a Caribbean blue hue feel like a vacay.
Looking for lunch ideas, and these open-faced sandwiches got me like "yes please!"
Considering going to my first blogger conference this year (this one is within driving distance, major bonus!), and this article by my friend and client Alesya made some great points.
NEED this summer edition subscription box from Rachel Zoe! That caftan is gorgeous, and the beach waves hair spray sounds right up my alley for my sad, baby-ravaged thin hair.
Okayzies, I think that's enough for today! Wishing everybody a good week!
