All. The. Shoes. I'm hopelessly in love with so many boots, slides, sandals, and flats I could wear a different new pair every day of the month. There's a little something for everybody this season, with styles ranging from trendy velvet pumps to borrowed-from-the-boys bluchers. I definitely want in on the velvet trend but in a way that's conducive to my lifestyle...say, by way of a sneaker or comfy loafer. Speaking of, I keep gravitating towards loafers and platform oxfords as new options to wear with black skinnies and sweaters.
Perhaps the "it"-iest shoe of all is the low to mid block heel, marrying foot-friendly functionality with a darling femininity. You could always double dip with a block heel velvet pump or glittery Mary Jane! Though the forever bae of fall footwear will always be the boot(ie), I wanted to include other styles to give our collective shoe collections a breath of fresh air. I've already checked red lace-up flats and metallic slides off my shopping list, both of which I highly recommend. Neither sound like must-haves, but I find they perk up my standby button downs and tees and make me more excited about them...born again basics!
