#StyleInspo: Four Outfit Ideas for Fourth of July
There's something that makes my heart smile when I see Americans get patriotic on certain national holidays throughout the year, most especially on July Fourth. I love seeing everybody fly their flags, cheer on 747 fly-overs, and wear their stars and stripes all at once! Living at the beach for six years, I saw some pretty creative ways to adapt the red, white, and blue into an ensemble. Let's just say they weren't all magazine-ready but that's what makes it so fun!
There's always the classic flag-print bikini or sunglasses, but if you're like me, you usually wait to raid your closet for something that screams "AMERICA!" the day you need to wear it. Instead of wasting time worrying over what to wear (or spending money on one-time-wear pieces), I pulled together four outfit ideas built off of on-trend items having their day in the sun: white off-the-shoulder tops, sporty red gingham dresses, pretty blue shift dresses, and slinky white one-pieces.

Pretty pale blue dresses are....like...my thing. They always feel so crisp and light and dainty! Wear one with white sneakers and at least a red lip for a stylishly sporty vibe, and then feel good about how fashionable and functional your outfit is!

A white swimsuit always conjures dreams of cruising through the Greek isles or walking down a beach with pink sand. (Haha I'm such a hopeless romantic!) They just look so glam! And once you're tan they really show it off -- if you go the sunless route you don't even have to wait! Suit up in a slinky white one-piece and set it off with electric blue shades or red earrings. For sun-smart style, shade your face with a navy ball cap repping your hometown or vacation spot!
