Wear Now, Wear Later: Yana K Tunic

Happy Wednesday everyone! I'm still dreaming about that cool, fall-ish weather we got last weekend here in Asheville. I'm not ready to say goodbye to summer by any means but I have to say, between those mid-70s temps and the Nordstrom anniversary sale, I've had fall on my mind for the last week!

Even though I know we've got plenty of hot weather ahead of us, the coming fall season is starting to affect my shopping decisions. Mostly I'm interested in either summer pieces on sale, or transitional items I can wear now and later on when it starts to cool off. I found this Yana K tunic dress at Nest Boutique in Biltmore Village and I cannot tell you how obsessed I am with it! It's made of the softest material on the planet and you can wear it and style it so many different ways.

Wear it now...Right now I'm clearly wearing it as a dress. It feels like a cloud; so soft and swingy, like a giant t-shirt. The asymmetrical hem gives you the option to tie a knot in it to give it a little more personality. You can wear almost any summer shoe with it, too. Flat sandals, heeled sandals, wedges....so many choices.

Wear it later...Later on, I plan on layering it over tights or leggings. Paired with an ankle bootie and a cargo jacket, moto jacket, or boyfriend sweater would be so adorable! And def a wide-brim hat ;)

Wear it to dress up those yoga pants...But honestly, the most brilliant way to wear it is over yoga pants with flat sandals. No lie, I would wear this as a dress to a meeting, come home, throw on my lululemon yoga pants and some comfy sandals and continue my day playing with my Harlow and running errands. I'm telling you, I haven't been this excited about one piece of clothing in awhile!

A piece as simple as this needs a little oomph so I love a big statement necklace or earrings to make the look more interesting. While I was at Nest, I couldn't choose between this Sweet Tea Bohemian wooden bead necklace and these angular gold earrings by local Asheville designer Rachel Weisberg...soo...I chose both!

Wearing two statement pieces next to each other doesn't always work but I think the organic elements and neutral tones and metallics made it possible. Sometimes more is just more LOL!

Nest carries this piece in multiple colors, plus other items from Yana K that are just as soft and fun to wear. Ask the owners -- Susan and Millie -- to show you what all they have. They're the absolute sweetest! They're also really great and accommodating to moms shopping with young kids. They've helped me out with Harlow on more than one occasion, keeping her entertained for a few minutes while I try some things on. So thoughtful and very appreciated!

I'll be sharing lots more pieces from Nest with you soon! As always, thanks for taking the time to stop by the blog today.

Have a great day! xxBrooke
