Weekend Style: Tees with Ease

Tee: Free People (on sale!) // Jeans: H&M

I know evvvvery Friday I get on here like "woo hoo, it's Friday, gosh what a week, I barely made it." But this week I really, really mean it. I've been on solo parent duty since last weekend and, in the words of Uncle Eddie, "the gas gave out in Gurnee." I'm running on whatever is left when the fumes run out. I've been so fortunate to have the help and support of my family and friends, and even when I haven't needed their physical help, just knowing they're a quick phone call and short drive away is very comforting. God really knew what He was doing when he brought us back to Asheville....

I also have to brag on my daughter -- Harlow has been SO SO good! Even though I've been stressed and frustrated a few times, rarely (or maybe never?) has it been because of her. It's been cool to spend time with her doing things she usually does with Mike. We've been so silly singing songs, wearing crazy hats, building block towers, and reading new books. Yesterday morning she woke me up singing a dramatic Elsa lyric from Frozen at the top of her lungs. I think I may have a performer on my hands...

ANYHOO! I figured since it's Friday and I'm officially switching into low gear, why not share a round-up of easy tees, tops, and blouses that are meant to be thrown on with denim and worn on the weekends?! You know the type: the tops we always reach for even though we've got a closet full of pretty clothes. They're just so easy, comfy, and look great on their own or with very little styling. I live for these tops.

I foresee a lot of tees and striped button-ups on Saturdays this spring :D

TEES

This is the top I'm wearing in the picture and it is SO soft and flowy and forgiving :) The hem is staggered so it's easy to tuck into the front and let the back hang out to cover your derriere. That makes it a good option for leggings, too. LOVE this one!

I love henleys -- they're more than just basic v-neck tees you know? They've got that Cali-cool ease about them. This one comes in 5 colors.

Love this coral color and the quasi rugby feel of this one. It also comes in white with navy stripes.

Such happy colors in this happy print! I love gray graphic tees with denim a LOT.

I live in my Sunday only version of this sweatshirt. You can sleep in it, workout in it, or wear it with jeans. So good!

The flutter sleeve on this one is so darling! Love this shade of pink, too.

Can't really argue with this one! It would look so cute with a denim skirt or white jeans.

There's something about rainbows that just makes me so happy! Just got this cute tee -- it runs true to size and comes in four other colors/prints.

Old Navy made this shirt in honor of International Women's Day! It celebrates women and many of the wonderful things we are and can be, and I just love it.

Blouses +Button-Ups

The great thing about a lightweight button-up for summer is you can wear it tucked, untucked, or tied into a little knot to wear with higher waisted bottoms. OR, you can even wear it over a bathing suit. It's such a versatile piece that you can wear year after year.

As soon as I saw this peachy-pink striped blouse, it called my name haha! You can roll the sleeve down to just above your elbow. It also comes in a classic blue and white stripe.

The multi-colored stripes in this loose button-up are so fun! All it needs is denim and a great pair of sandals.

One of the prettiest floral prints I've seen all season!

They call this the "perfect shirt" and as popular as it's been they must be right! It comes in 7 different prints, including a variety of stripes and gingham. The muted tones of this print makes it a timeless classic.

Tying your button-up blouse into a front knot is a great way to define your waist when wearing high-waisted bottoms. It can also be a great trick for layering a blouse over a dress. This tie-front blouse comes pre-knotted so you don't have to fuss over getting the bow just right ;)

A boho blouse is a definite spring/summer staple in my eyes! It makes old denim shorts and messy hair look stylized haha! Seriously though, the chambray blue tone and white tassels make this a great blouse to wear dressed down with flip flops or up with espadrilles.

The print of this floral popover reminds me of Tolani but at half the price!

More happy, colorful stripes! Plus that ruffled sleeve is adorable! This just looks like a great idea for a sunny afternoon.

Nothing but tropical vibes coming outta this cute cute blouse! I love the dainty scalloped blue trim.

A kimono-style top that's a true blouse rather than a jacket. I just love all the colors, the florals, and the paisleys in this one.

What are your weekend plans? I don't mean to brag but mine is starting off with a creative meeting between some pretty rad ladies, and I'm excited about what it could lead to! Maybe tune into my Instagram stories to see what I'm talking 'bout...

Saturday morning Harlow and I are heading down to the Glam Garage Sale near Biltmore Village to shop the ridiculous deals some of my favorite local boutiques are shelling out. Word is most things are going to be $30 or less -- whaaaat?! (Don't quote me on that, but I know everything's going to be really really affordable.)

Okay y'all, I hope you have a fab Friday and I'll be back Monday with a recap of our recent family picnic on Biltmore Estate. Have a beautiful, blessed day!

xxBrooke
