When evaluating my fall wardrobe I noticed my skirt collection was woefully thin. I had one I thought I might wear. I don't need many per se but I do need them to be versatile enough to wear casually (if so inclined) or dressed up to a client meeting or event.
This suede skirt checked all the boxes. Better yet, it's so flattering on! The outer part is real suede and yet it still rings in just under $100. It comes in light tan and this gray, both of which go with so much.
I styled it two ways to show you how it can be worn dressed up or dressed down. I have so many more ideas up my sleeve -- like how cute would it look with some OTK boots, a plaid button up, and a long cardigan? Or like vintage band tee and studded booties? So many options!
Outfit Idea 1 | Blazer + Heeled Sandals
BLAZER // TANK // SKIRT // SANDALS // BAG
Two things I love: an entirely neutral-toned outfit; and, a white blazer. I wear mine year-round, but actually more in the fall and winter when I won't sweat through it. It looks so good with black skinnies, over dresses, and obviously with skirts. A very desk-to-drinks friendly option. Also, these shoes are currently marked down to $32. Yes, you read that right, and it's not missing a zero. Total. Score.
Outfit Idea 2 | DENIM JACKET + BOOTIES
JACKET // SKIRT // BLOUSE // BOOTIES (similar) // BAG
Trend alert! White booties are totally having their moment, but it can be challenging to style them correctly so they don't look like two giant, glaring cotton balls on your feet. I wanted to brighten this look up a bit with all the darker colors on top so white boots won the day! Of course black booties would work, too, or a taupe/tan neutral like I pulled in with my bag.
Thanks so much for stopping by the blog today! Sorry for not blogging more outfits lately. Once Harlow is back in school I will try and adopt a more regular schedule. I've really enjoyed a pared down work schedule here at the end of summer; it's really let me soak up all the fun moments with Harlow instead of worrying about schedules, deadlines, and that sort of thing. I know it's part of the line of work I'm in but flexibility is part of why blogging works so well for me during this season of life.
All of this is to say, thanks for your patience and for sticking with me as schedules even out. Hope y'all are planning on an awesome weekend! Can't believe it's almost Labor Day!
