One T-Shirt Maxi Dress Styled 3 Ways

Y'all, just this year I got a black t-shirt maxi dress and I almost feel like my stylist card should be revoked for dragging my heels for so long. WHY did I not get this sooner?? I'm a stylist and a mom who loves a good spray tan. This is like the most basic of wardrobe basics for me! Better late than never though right?

I had a t-shirt maxi dress with thin straps which was fine but like...I have to wear a strapless bra with it and that just throws me off. Because on a daily basis, keeping up with Harlow, maybe sweating a little bit, I hate messing with a strapless bra I have to keep pulling up or God forbid worry about falling off! Which happened to me before #truestory. Those sticky bras, man...you can't trust them on a hot day.

So I needed a t-shirt dress with sleeves and voila! Found one! And it was like $29 which just blew my mind. Aside from the price I really love the front slit that isn't too high, but just high enough to make walking and ventilation easier. It's also long enough for my height; I'm 5'8" so I need good length for a true maxi. But don't worry: this dress also comes in petite if that's a better fit for you!

Same core pieces (dress, jacket), this time styled for everyday #momstylelife with sneakers + a large satchel handbag.

I'm telling you, I could get used to just throwing this dress on on a daily basis, styling it however fits my mood, and going about my day! I also like this v-neck maxi dress and this one that comes in six colors. Also this long-sleeved dress with the square neckline is sooo pretty! Not sure having multiple t-shirt dresses jives with having a capsule wardrobe and my intentional shopping mantra but hey, that's why you come up with several ways to wear the one you've got!

The third look I love for a night time or date night look. Maybe to a concert or grabbing drinks with the girls? It's the same formula as the other two looks: dress + jacket + cute-but-comfy shoes. Something to think about: Sometimes just simplifying things helps you to see what you like about one look and come up with other ways to achieve the same thing!

The pink moto jacket really adds a light-and-happy spring vibe while the studded ankle booties give it some edgy personality. It's all about the contrast! Style tip: the cropped jacket helps accentuate my waist, giving me more shape in the loose maxi silhouette. My pink jacket is old Zara but I found super cute dupes for good prices HERE (this one is vegan), HERE, and HERE.

Do you own a t-shirt maxi dress? And do you live in it? (Rhetorical question obvs.) What other pieces do you own that look cute but feel like house clothes? I'm all about that comfy chic vibe!

Thanks for coming by the blog today! Always so appreciative of your support and sharing with your circles!
