Most Flattering Swimsuits of Summer 2019
SWIMSUIT // COVER-UP // SANDALS // BEACH BAG // AVIATOR SUNGLASSES
This summer I freshened up my swimsuit game, replacing some old one-pieces and adding some bikinis back in the rotation. I had a pity party during the spring, telling myself my days in two-pieces were done. Then I got that BS in check and found a couple bikinis I feel super confident in!
And that's the long and short of it, right? Real talk: We want to feel like our best selves in our swimsuits. Not vulnerable, not uncomfortable, not like we're trying to be somebody we're not. Just us, who we are, owning it and loving it!
Swimsuits are like jeans, necessary but frustrating to shop for. I know, I know, what works for one woman may not for another in terms of taste, style, fit, all the things. But you never know what might spark an idea or lead you to the next swimsuit with your name all over it!
Here are the swimsuits -- both one- and two-pieces -- that I swear by for summer!
I kinda feel like every woman needs a white bathing suit in their collection; they've got that Santorini vibe thing going on. I wear this as a halter with Harlow around then remove the straps if I'm off mom duty. It's under $20, runs TTS, and comes in seven colors plus polka dots. Love it with a leopard print duster cover-up.
I love the wide bandeau top of this so I feel less exposed in it if I'm with Harlow at the pool. (No nip slips, please.) The bottom has pretty full coverage which is hard to find lately. This $24 two-piece comes in over 10 prints and runs TTS. I styled mine with this long floral duster.
Funny, I don't love gingham clothing on me but this swimsuit is the cuuuutest! The ruffle straps and deep V neckline are flattering and kinda sweet, kinda sassy. It's balanced by the extra high-waisted bottoms but know this: the cut is a little cheeky! Style with a pink baseball cap for sun protection and a pop of color.
If you love shapewear and Spanx leggings (who doesn't?) then you should know about Magicsuit swimwear. They make shaping swimwear with control and support for a sleeker silhouette. I got this one-piece in this cool tie-dye print with strappy back detail.
Tip: Their sizing is very different and requires you to measure yourself to find your best size. I got an 8 in this swimsuit FWIW.
Here are some other Magicsuit swimsuits I think are super cute! I love the cut and style of their one-pieces. You can click on any image for item details!
Where do you like to shop for bathing suits? How much do you like to spend on them? I'm not afraid to drop some cash on a swimsuit if it's absolutely perfect. Otherwise, give me the budget buys...which can honestly be just as cute and flattering as the expensive ones!
Hope you're having a lovely summer so far, it's really flying by! Thanks for coming by The Tony Townie today, your time and support are so appreciated!
