To Dye For

Something that's been really fun since I moved back to Asheville is discovering local artists and designers I never knew before. One that I've really taken to is Rachel Weisberg and her gorgeous hand-dyed clothing and minimalist accessories. Not only are the colors so vibrant, but the materials she uses feel like butter. You may have noticed me wearing her earrings in last week's outfit post!

On a recent trip to Nest Boutique, I fell in love with this dreamy creamsicle poncho by Rachel. I love to wear it as a cover-up over my swimsuits, but on this day I paired it with this navy Line & Dot co-ord set (also from Nest!) and one of Rachel's necklaces. The whole outfit was so lightweight and comfortable on a hot summer day. When the breeze started blowing it around I couldn't resist twirling around a little bit LOL! I mean...I was in downtown Asheville and everybody's used to people dancing and twirling around the sidewalks by now :)

I recently discovered the fountains/splash zone in downtown Asheville! I've been hoping to find something like this to take Harlow to. Clearly a billowy topper would get soaked in seconds trying to chase a toddler through water fountains, so I took it off and tied my hair back in one of Rachel's tie-dye scarves.

Y'all. I wear this thing in my hair, as a neckerchief, and around my wrist. So much versatility from a piece that costs less than $25! The necklace is also versatile -- such a great layering piece or equally lovely on its own.

Even though the highlight of this post is Rachel's work, I have to mention how cute and flattering this co-ord set is. I love the ruffle detail on the shorts and how easily mix-and-matchable both pieces are.
